Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Construction of a new airport has begun in Sokh district in Ferghana region.

In the Navobod mahalla (neighborhood), 4.5 hectares of land were allocated for the construction of a new airport. The project cost is 12 billion soums.

All construction work is expected to be completed by May 2021.

The length of the runway of the future air harbor should be 650 meters, and the width - 100 meters.

Recall that the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in August 2020, ordered to establish direct flights between Ferghana and Sokh district.
