Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following the results of the work carried out by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul within the framework of the public movement “Kindness and Support” initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with the assistance of compatriots living in South Korea, humanitarian aid was attracted in the amount of about 23 million Korean won (over 18.5 thousand dollars).

On 4 May, these funds were transferred to the account of the Charity and Health of Uzbekistan Public Fund.

Our fellow citizens who are currently studying, living and working outside the republic, did not stand aside and, based on their capabilities, provided free help and thereby showed their love for the motherland.

Taking into account the emergency incident on the dam of the Sardoba reservoir, compatriots expressed a desire to send charitable funds collected in the holy month of Ramadan to the mentioned region of the republic to provide material and moral support to the population affected by the flood, as well as to counteract the spread of a new coronavirus infection in Syrdarya region.
