Committees of Legislative Chamber outline priority tasks

The Committee on Labour and Social issues held a session with participation of heads and officials of ministries and departments.

Information service of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis said that the session participants considered a draft programme on legislative and control-analytical activities of the committee for 2015.

Uzbek leader Islam Karimov said at the joint session of Legislative Chamber and Senate that it is necessary to determine main direction of activities of the parliament and based on this, the committee outlined its plans and tasks for 2015.

In line with the plan, the committee will work on solving such actual issues as food security, social protection of children, employment of population and pension provision, and hold control-analytical activities of the committee. The committee plans to organize hearings of reports of the state bodies.

At the end of the session, the committee adopted a decision on programme of Legislative Chamber of OPliy Majlis on legislative and control-analytical activities for 2015 and plan of works for 2015.
