Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 17 January 2020, the first meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs (CEI) under the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place at the Embassy of our country in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the event, special attention was paid to issues related to the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the CIS in 2020.

In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the CEC members considered 7 issues in the field of innovative cooperation, product labeling, standardization, as well as the draft Action Plan on the Year of Architecture and Urban Planning in the CIS in 2021.

The agenda of the regular meetings of the CIS Economic Council and the CIS Economic Affairs Commission was also agreed.

The next meeting of the Commission will be held on 19 February 2020 in Moscow.
