Citizens of Tajikistan arrested in Uzbekistan with 30 kg of opium

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Law enforcement bodies of Uzbekistan seized 30 kg of opium from citizens of Tajikistan, the press service of Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The ministry said that two persons were detained in Urgut district of Samarkand region during their illegal attempt to enter the country.

The statement said that detained people were citizens of Tajikistan. The law enforcement bodies found 30 kg of opium during check of their bags.

The criminal case was opened, the ministry said.
