Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the CIS, on 20 July 2020, experts from the Commonwealth countries in the format of videoconferencing discussed issues of improving the Procedure for allocating quotas, appointment and rotation of Deputy Chairmen of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the CIS and other officials for quotas positions in the CIS Executive Committee.

The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

During the event, the format of further work to improve the Procedure for allocating quotas in the CIS Executive Committee was considered.

Following the meeting of experts, it was decided to continue discussing this issue at the next meeting of the CIS CFM.
