Chile ends Spain’s reign as champions

Spain’s reign as World Champions was ended after Chile outplayed the defending champions with the score 2-0.
Spain needed to beat Chile to keep their hopes to advance to next stage alive. But Chile attacked Spain and defeated them.
Eduardo Vargas opened the score on 20 minutes of the match, while Charles Aranguiz doubled the lead of Chile.
In the result, Netherlands and Chile advanced to last 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil from Group B. Spain and Australia will leave for home.
