Cameras installed at automobile roads in Tashkent

The first cameras, which will record traffic rules violations at roads, were installed at crossroad of Aybek and Nukus streets.

The Government of Uzbekistan signed a contract with AGT International (Switzerland) to set up the system at 160 crossroads inTashkent, the source said. The sum of contract was not disclosed.

At the initial stage, the cameras will record speeding and running a red light. The system will be integrated with the equipment installed in the patrol cars.

The system will also provide coordinated management of traffic lights for unloading streets in Tashkent, the source said. In the future, traffic surveillance system will be introduced in other regions of Uzbekistan.
