Butterflies House opens at Tashkent Zoo

Green Grass Service, Institute of gene pool of fauna and flora of Uzbekistan Science Academy, Botanic Garden and Tashkent Zoo initiated the project.

Currently, Butterflies House has 25 types of tropic butterflies from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines. It is planned to bring more butterflies from other continents in future.

Butterflies House has all necessary conditions for butterflies – artificial water reservoirs, trees, flowers, necessary temperature and humidity.

It is worth to mention that butterflies are living just three days and number of butterflies is kept due to natural reproduction.

Butterflies House will create a special part, where dollies will be presented to the visitors, who can observe birth of butterflies.

It is also planned to place displays at the Butterflies House, which will show life cycle of butterflies.

The price of the ticket is 5,000 soums for adults and 3,000 soums for children at the age of over 5. The entry is free for children at the age of below 5.
