Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 October 2020, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, with the participation of representatives of trade structures of the two countries, an online business forum "Shanghai-Tashkent: Prospects for e-commerce" was held.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Shanghai A. Masutov, deputy khokim of Jizzakh region A. Akhmadkhodjaev, chairman of the Association of Electronic Commerce of Uzbekistan M. Azamov, chairman of the supervisory board of BMB Trade Group B. Mamatkulov, director Zoodmall Global Development Sardor Mukhammadaliev, Chairman of the Eurasian Department of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China Wang Kai, Chairman of the E-Commerce Department Ju Lien, Deputy Chairman of the E-Commerce and Business Development Department of the International E-Commerce Center Li Ming Tao, and AEEX Chairman Ping Jang attended who made a speech. More than 50 representatives of public and business circles of the two countries also took part in the online business forum.
In the process of this event, it was indeed noted that in recent years the scale of relations between the two countries has expanded, and trade and economic cooperation is steadily and rapidly growing. The importance of the digital economy and the existing barriers and problems in this area and ways of solving them, as well as the role and prospects of e-commerce platforms in expanding trade were discussed.
The online business forum identified the prospects for organizing the exchange of experience in the field of e-commerce, stimulating the system for expanding the export of domestic products and imports from China, introducing e-commerce platforms, as well as further developing cooperation in this area.
At the event, an agreement was reached on the establishment of cooperation between AEEX and BMB TRADE GROUP to create electronic trading platforms to expand the export of domestic agricultural products to China.
Following the results of the online business forum, in the near future, new proposals were put forward between the economic entities of the two countries, based on the experience of Chinese companies on the widespread implementation of e-commerce platforms in our country, as well as cooperation in the construction of modern logistics complexes and warehouses.
