Bukhara, Rueil-Malmaison mark 15th anniversary of twin city relations

An exhibition “Great Silk Road” dedicated to the 15th anniversary of twin city relations between two cities opened in Rueil-Malmaison.

It was organized at assistance of Rueil-Malmaison City Hall, Bukhara Administration and diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in France. It was attended by officials of two administrations, French public, business circles and mass media.

The participants familiarized with wide-scale democratic reforms in Uzbekistan, social-economic development in 2014, economic, investment and tourism potential, as well as perspectives of Uzbek-French relations.

Mayor of Rueil-Malmaison Patrick Ollier said that the exhibition shows growth of interest of French people in Uzbekistan. He said that French city received a privilege on partnership relations with one of historic cities of Uzbekistan. Implemented projects and exchanges contributed to development of dialogue of civilizations.

Within the exhibition, the documentary film about ancient Uzbek cities was shown to the participants.
