Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 February, an important educational and cultural event took place at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event, organized at the initiative of the National Centre of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, involved the transfer of part of the literature donated by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the House of Human Rights to the Institute of State and Law.

Among the donated materials were works by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, publications on human rights, as well as 56 books and six electronic disks on Chinese culture and literature, representing a total of 28 titles.

Speakers emphasized that this educational initiative aligns with the objectives set out in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Measures to Develop a Reading Culture and Increase Public Interest in Reading,” adopted on January 15, 2026.

It was noted that these publications will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, scholars, and young scientists at the Institute, enabling them to study international experience, analyze modern approaches in the field of human rights, and enrich academic research.

The Director of the Institute of State and Law, Murodjon Turgunov, highlighted the practical and scholarly significance of these materials, their role in examining global human rights practices, and their contribution to strengthening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.

He expressed sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan and the National Centre of Uzbekistan for Human Rights for providing these valuable resources.

The event also included discussions on further developing scientific and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, exchanging experience, and implementing joint projects.
