Book “Islam Karimov - the founder of Independent Uzbekistan” presented in Tashkent

The event was organized by the Islam Karimov Foundation in cooperation with Islam Karimov Complex, Tashkent city administration. The event attracted representatives of the government, relatives and friends of the First President of Uzbekistan.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Tatyana Karimova, spouse of the First President of Uzbekistan, briefed the participants on publication of the book, which covers life and activities of Islam Karimov.

The presented book includes the words of foreign and domestic state and political figures, representatives of science, culture and art, people of different professions and ages, as well as those who for many years were close to the First President.

It includes bright episodes, live stories and stories related to Islam Karimov. The publication presents previously unreleased photographs illustrating the life and activities of Islam Karimov: childhood, years of study and work in various positions, as well as historical photographs, reflecting role of Islam Karimov in the formation of Uzbekistan as an independent state.

The book was published in a circulation of 15,000 companies and will be distributed to all libraries, higher and secondary special educational institutions and schools of the republic.
