Bobur Shamsiev joins Dentons as partner in energy practice in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Bobur Shamsiev joined the Dentons team as a partner in energy practice in Uzbekistan. He has extensive legal experience in the oil and gas sector in Central Asia and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Dentons, Bobur Shamsiev worked as chief legal counsel in the Kazakh branch of Lukoil. Bobur worked in Lukoil in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia for 13 years. He has an impressive experience in supporting projects in the energy sector, including projects related to the exploration, production, processing and transportation of oil and gas.

He also successfully represented the interests of the company in various disputes and litigation, including government negotiations, Stockholm arbitration and arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules.

Prior to that, Bobur Shamsiev worked for five years in the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, including as deputy head of the Department for the Protection of Foreign Investors and Deputy Chief of the International Legal Department.

Bobur Shamsiev holds a Master of Law degree from John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, USA, and an MBA from the Aberdeen Business School in Scotland, UK.

He is fluent in Russian, English, Uzbek and Arabic.
