Belarusian Residents of “Brest” Discuss Export Expansion and Investment Opportunities in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Brest Free Economic Zone (FEZ) is visiting Uzbekistan on a working trip as part of the FEZ’s development strategy and efforts to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the Central Asian region.
The delegation includes the head of the FEZ administration, Vadim Kravchuk, and the head of the Economic Development Department, Vadim Povolansky.
The main objectives of the visit are to establish partnerships with Uzbek business entities, expand the export potential of Brest FEZ residents, and hold negotiations with potential investors. During their trip, the delegation plans to visit several cities, including Tashkent, Angren, and Jizzakh.
On February 10, 2026, the delegation met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov. The parties discussed the current state and prospects for trade and economic cooperation between FEZ enterprises and Uzbek businesses, as well as opportunities for Belarusian companies to actively enter Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing market.
It was noted that Brest FEZ residents, including INKO-FOOD and STiM LLC, are actively expanding cooperation with regional partners. By the end of 2025, exports of FEZ enterprises to Uzbekistan exceeded US$7 million, with a 137% growth rate in export deliveries, underscoring the strong potential for mutually beneficial cooperation and the growing interest of Uzbek consumers in Belarusian products.
“The current visit is aimed at consolidating and expanding the achievements to date. The delegation’s focus is on establishing direct contacts between Brest FEZ residents and Uzbek business circles, studying market conditions, and promoting the investment potential of the Brest region. Active engagement in Uzbekistan opens new prospects for Brest enterprises, helps diversify export flows, and strengthens economic ties between the regions,” emphasized Vadim Kravchuk.
On the same day, the delegation attended the 27th International Exhibition “Construction – UzBuild 2026,” where the collective exhibition of the Republic of Belarus was officially opened. On the sidelines of the exhibition, Kravchuk and Povolansky held a series of business meetings with representatives of specialized enterprises on issues of mutual interest.
The Brest FEZ delegation also plans to visit the city of Angren in Tashkent region, home to one of Uzbekistan’s free economic zones.
