Bakhtiyor Saidov Discusses the Situation in the Afghan Direction with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 February, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, who serves as Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Senator.

According to the Uzbek foreign ministry, the discussion focused on the latest developments in Afghanistan–Pakistan relations. Both sides emphasized the importance of exercising restraint and preventing further escalation of tensions in the border region.

The interlocutors highlighted the significance of maintaining a sustainable political dialogue and implementing confidence-building measures as key tools for reducing tensions and fostering an atmosphere of mutual trust in the region.
