Azimov: It is necessary to consolidate efforts on development of transport communications

Speaking at the UN Global Sustainable Transport Conference, which was held in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Azimov said that ensuring transport communications became actual.

Rustam Azimov noted that number and scale of transport catastrophe is increasing and man-caused factors are behind them. New risks and challenges, first of all related to terrorist threat, are appearing each year.

He said that it is necessary to boost international cooperation, directed at preventing all possible risks on transport, ensure secure and stable operation of transport communications and infrastructure.

It is necessary to consolidate efforts on development of reliable, secure and efficient transport communications in international scale, which will ensure sustainable development of the countries and the regions.

The head of the Uzbek delegation expressed his assurance that the results of the forum will assist to boost cooperation in these directions.
