Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first nine months of this year, Uzbekistan exported carpet products worth US$18.1 million.

Over the past nine months of this year, Uzbekistan exported more than 6 million square meters of carpet products worth US$18.1 million.

According to the State Customs Committee, 26 percent of carpets were exported to Azerbaijan, 25 percent to Kyrgyzstan, 16 percent to Kazakhstan, 13 percent to Russia and the same amount to Afghanistan.

Exports of carpets to the United States are reported to have more than doubled this year.
