An essay contest for schoolchildren of Karakalpakstan “My favorite museum” launched

The competition will involve pupil 6-9 classes of Karakalpakstan. Creative work should match the name of the contest. The best essays will be published on the website of the museum and the Goethe-Institut and the newspaper "Zhetkenshek."

The aim of the contest is to attract pupil to the museum’s activities and raise interest to history, culture and art, the love for the native land, as well as the popularization of the museum’s activities, the development of the younger generation of creativity and involvement of pupil in the museum exhibition.

Bidders offered a choice of the following topics:

• Museum of the history of his native land
• My favorite museum
• My first acquaintance with the museum
• The museum - a source of experiences
• The heroes of my favorite paintings
• My favorite exhibit

The contest jury will determine the winners in age categories of 6-7 and 8-9 classes pupil.

The competition is held in three stages:

• Stage 1 - from 15 April to 15 May 2015 on the admission essay contest. Admission is carried out at the State Museum named after Savitsky.
• Stage 2 - from May 15 to May 25, 2015, summarizing.
• Stage 3 - May 25 2015 award winners in the schools of the winners.

Winners will be awarded with gifts from the Goethe-Institute Tashkent.
