Alisher Khajayev again was appointed to the post of NTRC chairman. It should be recalled that he headed the NTRC from April 2005 to February 2017.

In this post, he replaced Babur Alikhanov, who was appointed as acting chairman of the NTRC in early August 2017.

In June 2017, Alisher Khajayev was appointed to the post of the deputy chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, Asadjon Khodjaev was released from the post of the head of the presidential press service. He was appointed to the post in March 2017.
