Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A question was asked about the Euro standard for AI-80 gasoline, which replaced A-76, in a Facebook post on Kurbanoff.Net. The blogger also asked about the production of this type of fuel in the country. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
The Department of Oil Refining, Petrochemistry, Storage and Transportation of Oil Products of Uzbekneftegaz JSC having studied this appeal, reports the following:
Currently, the existing technological processes of the country’s oil refineries (refineries) make it possible to ensure the production of gasoline in accordance with the international requirements of Euro 2.
AI-80 brand gasoline, produced in exchange for A-76 brand gasoline, meets Euro 2 international requirements.
Ecological requirements of Euro distinguish fuels by such indicators as the mass fraction of sulfur, the content of aromatic hydrocarbons, the content of benzene, the content of olefinic hydrocarbons, etc.
In order to produce gasoline in accordance with the requirements of Euro 4, 5, modernization and reconstruction of the country’s oil refineries is required, in particular, the construction of new and the reconstruction of existing technological units.
In accordance with the instructions of the leadership of the Republic of Uzbekistan JSC Uzbekneftegaz, work is underway on the implementation of the investment project “Modernization and Reconstruction of the Bukhara Oil Refinery”, as a result of which (in 2025) production of gasoline meeting international requirements of Euro 4, 5 will be ensured.
