Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beijing hosted Uzbekistan – China economic forum on further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in implementation of promising investment projects.

At the forum, investment agreements on large projects in Andijan region were signed. In particular, China’s Xinjiang Jiufang Borun Transport Equipment Co. Ltd. will participate in the implementation of the project “Construction of a modern logistics center”. In addition, an Agro-industrial complex for the cultivation and primary processing of cherries will be created in cooperation with Shanghe Agricultural International Holding.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Eurasian Economic Forum, Shanghe Agricultural International Holding, Xinjiang Jiufang Borun Transport Equipment Co. Ltd., and other businesspeople from China.

Ambassador Bakhtiyor Saidov addressed on behalf of the Uzbek side, as well as Khokim of Andijan region Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov attended the event via videoconference.

Representatives of China noted that in recent years, there has been a high dynamic of deepening China – Uzbekistan cooperation in almost all areas. Among them are trade, economics, investment, energy, transport communications and many others. The results of the regular meetings and negotiations at the highest level have given a new powerful impetus to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
