Agency of public services to help the victims of the Sardoba incident to restore documents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As a result of the tragedy in Sardoba district of Syrdarya region, thousands of people were left homeless.

About 70 thousand people from 22 settlements of Sardoba, Okoltin and Mirzaabad districts were evacuated to Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions.

As a result of the evacuation, most citizens were left without the necessary documents.

At present, specialists of Jizzakh region department of the State Services Agency are compiling lists of citizens whose documents have been lost.

In particular, it was found that 32 of the 239 residents of Okoltin district who are accommodated in the hostel of Jizzakh Olympic Reserve boarding school have lost birth certificates, marriage certificates, passports and cadastral documents.

Based on the principle of extraterritoriality, the Public Service Centers will re-issue these documents.

About 11 thousand citizens from Syrdarya region were evacuated to Arnasay, Dustlik, Mirzachul, Pakhtak, Gallaorol districts and the city of Jizzakh yesterday.

According to the Press Service of the Civil Service Agency, according to preliminary data, today more than 1,600 citizens have been monitored for passports, certificates and other documents. According to the results, it was found that 94 of 292 citizens of them do not have passports, 134 do not have a birth certificate, and 64 people do not have certificates of marriage registration.

Monitoring work is ongoing.
