Adolat faction at parliament discuss several issues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Faction of Social-democratic party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” at the Legislative Chamber of oily Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session to discuss issues, which will be considered at the session of the lower house of the parliament, including report on activities of Human Rights Commissionaire of Oliy Majlis (Ombudsperson) in 2014.

The faction said that state should be reliable guarantor of social and economic rights of the citizens, the press service of the Legislative Chamber said.

Adolat said that among its priorities is social justice, implementation of right of each person for work, receive high quality medical services and education, as well as creation of favourable conditions for life.

At the meeting, the MPs said that Ombudsperson should play important role in the life of the society. It was noted that further liberalization of judicial-law system is needed and ensure equality of participants of the judicial process.

Adolat believes that Ombudsperson should adopt measures to strengthen cooperation with law enforcement bodies, including courts and work with appeals of citizens.

It is also necessary to strengthen cooperation with foreign human rights institutes to improve national human rights protection system.

The faction adopted corresponding decisions on considered issues.
