About US$338m to be directed to development of agriculture sector

The resources will be attracted within the framework of action strategy on further development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

A draft decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On action strategy on further developing of Uzbekistan” was published at the single portal of interactive state services for discussion.

The draft decree said that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a US$150 million loan to modernization of production in agriculture sector.

International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) will issued a loan for US$150 million to development of livestock.

It is expected that the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will allocate US$23.8 million to expansion of production and processing of milk in Kashkadarya and Jizzakh regions.

International Development Association (IDA) will issue US$14 million to realize the project on adaptation and mitigation of consequences of climate change in Aral Sea basin.
