About 5.666bn passengers transported in Uzbekistan in Jan-Sep

About 5.666 trillion passengers were transported by all types of transport in nine months of 2016, growing by 4% year-on-year.
According to the press service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the passenger turnover made up 79.5 billion passengers-km and rose by 4.1%.
About 99% of passengers were transported by automobiles. Share of automobile transport in passenger turnover made up 89.5%.
About 15.5 million people were transported via railway transport in nine months of 2016, which grew by 2% compared to the same period of 2015.
The passenger turnover grew by 2.9% in January-September 2016 and reached 2.954 billion passengers-km.
