Abdulaziz Kamilov receives chair of delegation of European Parliament

On 7 May 2015, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Iveta Grigule, the Chair of the Delegation of the European Parliament for Cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and Mongolia, who arrived in Uzbekistan in the framework of regular inter-parliamentary exchanges.
During the meeting the sides discussed the issues development of bilateral relations between the chambers of Oliy Majlis and the European Parliament and current state and prospects of deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
It was emphasized that both sides are interested in expanding multifaceted cooperation, strengthening the legal framework in political, trade-economic and humanitarian contacts.
Special attention was paid to the preparation for the next meeting of the Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Council.
The EU Ambassador Yuri Stärk was also attended the meeting.
