The Ambassador presented his credentials to the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry. Abdulaziz Kamilov congratulated him on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished fruitful work at the responsible post.

The press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said that the sides exchanged views on key issues on the Uzbek-Norwegian agenda.

The diplomats spoke in favor of regularizing the inter-MFA consultations. In their opinion, consultations allow defining and coordinating perspective directions of cooperation in various spheres.

The parties are interested in increasing mutual trade through implementation of the existing significant potential for strengthening and expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment ties.

In the context of discussing selected international and regional problems, issues of interaction within the framework of the UN, the OSCE, as well as the situation in Afghanistan were considered.
