Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 30 December, a working meeting of the Organizing Committee was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov to prepare for the participation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the world exhibition “EXPO 2020”, which will be held in the UAE from October 2020 through April 2021. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The exhibition will be held under the slogan "Connecting the minds, creating the future" and will be divided into 3 areas: Opportunity, Mobility, Sustainability. The Pavilion of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be presented in the direction of "Mobility" and occupy an area of 1,739 sq.m.

During the meeting, the course of preparations for the participation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the world exhibition "EXPO 2020" was discussed - the results of the work already done, current issues and an action plan for the near future.

The heads of relevant ministries and departments involved in the organization of this event were given separate instructions for a comprehensive and timely study of the planned event.

The main area of EXPO 2020 will be an area of 438 hectares located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. According to the organizers, the exhibition will be visited by over 25 million people from more than 180 countries.
