A station with a capacity of increasing the pressure of 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year was put into operation in Kashkadarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz launched the 2nd stage of a compressor station at the Zevarda field of the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department in Kashkadarya region.

This project with a total cost of US$75.8 million is aimed at the timely and efficient implementation of the tasks set in the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On approval of the Program for increasing hydrocarbon production for 2017-2021" in order to maximize the production of residual gas and condensate reserves at the field ( 35.3 billion cubic meters and 5.5 million tons).

The construction works of the project were carried out by Enter Engineering (Singapore). Modern gas turbine equipment and compressors were supplied by Baker Hughes va General Electric (USA), Motor Sich (Ukraine), Akcelik (Turkey) and Denair Energy (China)

The ceremonial opening of the 2nd stage of the compression compressor station at the Zevarda field, located in Mirishkor district of Kashkadarya region, is intended for the development of low-pressure gases.

The solemn ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" Mehriddin Abdullayev and thanked everyone who worked on the construction of this compressor station.

- The new compressor station has a pressure boosting capacity of 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and will ensure the supply of gas to an integrated gas treatment plant for separating liquid components contained in the gas, and an additional daily production of 1.5 million cubic meters of gas will be achieved (480, 0 million cubic meters per year), - said Mehriddin Abdullayev.

Stage 2 of this compressor station through 2 units increases the pressure of low-pressure natural gas on an industrial scale in the wells of the Zeward field and facilitates transmission to the Zeward compressor station, thereby increasing the volume of natural gas production.

To ensure the stable operation of the compressor station in 2021, it is necessary to drill an additional 9 new wells at the Zeward field, build a 5.2 km long gas collector, and it is planned to produce 2.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas from the field annually.

As a result of the construction of this facility, the processes of natural gas production at the Zevarda field will be controlled with full automation, which will increase the daily production of natural gas at this field by 1.5 million cubic meters.

Foreign specialists who participated in the implementation of the project were presented with national costumes as a symbol of Uzbek hospitality, the need for further development of cooperation with them was emphasized. Foreign experts, in turn, thanked for the trust and noted that they would make every effort to justify it.

As a result of many years of geological exploration work of Uzbekneftegaz JSC on the territory of the Zevarda field, natural gas reserves of about 305 billion cubic meters and more than 18.0 million tons of gas condensate have been identified.

In the current state of the wells of this field, the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department produced 2.27 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 46.6 thousand tons of gas condensate.

In 2021, the department plans to produce 16.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 109 thousand tons of oil, 310.7 thousand tons of condensate.

The produced natural gas is transported through pipelines to the Mubarek gas processing plant, and oil and condensate to the Bukhara oil refinery.

Currently, the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department operates a total of 12 compressor stations and 14 gas treatment units at 33 oil and gas condensate fields.

In addition to the above, as a result of the commissioning of the second stage of the existing compressor station at this field, intended for the development of low-pressure gases, an increase in daily natural gas production by 1 million cubic meters will be achieved.

It should be noted that as a result of a sharp drop in reservoir and well top pressure during the operation of the Zevarda field in 2007, compressor station No. 1 was put into operation at the field.

In 2008, in order to maximize the separation and increase of liquid hydrocarbons contained in natural gas, 5 monoblock turboexpander units were put into operation.

The Zeward field was discovered in 1968, the initial reserves of natural gas amounted to 305 billion cubic meters, and condensate - 18 million tons. During the operation of the field, 136 wells have been drilled, currently 82 wells are being operated.

At the same time, in order to increase the volume of natural gas production, this department is also building a new compressor station at the Denizkul field.
