A press tour to the cotton and textile clusters of the Khorezm region was organized

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A cluster covering all stages from cotton growing to finished product production is the future of cotton growing. Such complexes, which have transformed all processes into a single technological chain, are considered an important stage in the transition to an innovative economy.

The participants of the press tour got acquainted with the activities of the farm "Davron" of the cotton-textile cluster "Khorazm tech" in Khanka region. Davron is one of 177 farms that cooperate with the cluster. By the end of the harvest, the Khorezm region fulfilled its obligations to deliver cotton, but there is still a lot of harvest in the fields.

At the Khorazm Tech cotton ginning plant, the journalists got acquainted with the processes of delivery and processing of cotton. The plant has 32 riots, each with a capacity of 500-600 tons. Within four to five months, the cotton from the riots is sent to the processing plants.

680 jobs have been created at Khorazm Tech. The total project cost is US$22.6 million.

In 2021, it is planned to launch a workshop for the production of 20 million linear meters of fabric per year.

In Khanka district branch of the bank, the participants of the press tour got acquainted with the work process. They also visited a branch of banking services in Khiva district. This branch has 2.7 thousand customers in a busy quarter. Among them is "Khiva cluster".

The Khiva Cluster, formed in 2019, signed an agreement with 107 farms and receives 18 tons of crops. In 2020, Agrobank borrowed 45.8 billion soums of loans for growing and harvesting crops. 37 billion soums of them were given to farmers on a preferential basis, the rest was paid to collectors.

Thanks to the cluster system, the quality of work and products is controlled at all stages: from growing cotton to processing. Part of the added value from the sale of goods is distributed among employees.

During the production process, new jobs are created. Clusters use manufactured products and determine prices and sales.
