Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant under construction in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region is being implemented.

With the launch of this plant, it is planned to reduce the import of petroleum products to 1.5 million tons per year. The plant will produce 1.5 million tons of high-quality and environmentally friendly synthetic fuel per year, fully meeting the requirements of all existing international standards. In particular, 724.6 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 307.3 thousand tons of aviation kerosene, 437.3 thousand tons of naphtha, 53.4 thousand tons of liquefied gas.

The plant was designed using technologies from companies such as Sasol (South Africa), Haldor Topsoe (Denmark) and Chevron (USA), which are leaders in the petrochemical industry in the world.

As previously reported, the construction of a substation for external power supply of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant was completed on time.

The work of a group of employees who made a worthy contribution to the implementation of this project was assessed, they were presented with memorable gifts from ENTER Engineering.

Currently, about 12 thousand builders, engineers and specialists are involved in the construction site. In order to create convenience for them, a permanent trade fair has been organized at the construction site.

To date, the total implementation of the project has reached 91 percent. The detailed design of the plant has been completed. Construction and installation work was completed by 76.3 percent, at the same time the plant is being commissioned, in parallel, adjustment work is being carried out. Three more buses have been added to the convoy to transport workers to the construction site.

It is planned to complete the construction and installation work at the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant in stages by the end of this year. The plant will start production from 2021.
