Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A container-type convective dryer designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries has been created.

Further development of the food industry for processing (drying) fruits and vegetables grown in household plots requires the introduction of modern technologies in the agricultural sector, and it is also important to increase the investment attractiveness of the industry.

The resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the deep processing of agricultural products and the further development of the food industry” from 29 July  2019 was adopted in order to quickly resolve such problems and introduce new mechanisms.

The utility model is intended for the food and pharmaceutical industries and includes a chamber with a loading and unloading device, tiered trolleys with stainless steel mesh pallets, an automated control boiler associated with a hot air transport system, while temperature sensors are located inside the drying chamber .

According to the resolution, 174 major investment projects for processing agricultural products and 24 import-substituting products in the food industry will be implemented, and 36,000 hectares of intensive gardens will be created in the areas of fruit and vegetable growing.

This device is designed to dehydrate agricultural products while preserving useful nutrients and helps to extend the shelf life.

This will become significant in increasing the export and competitiveness of food products in the global market. An important aspect of the utility model is to reduce energy consumption, increase efficiency and preserve biologically active substances in the finished product.
