Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A delegation led by the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Santosh Jha, with the khokim of Tashkent, Jahongir Artikkhodjaev, met in the capital, during which the parties discussed ongoing and promising joint projects.
At the event, it was noted that today joint projects worth more than US$650 million are being implemented. There are 154 enterprises with a share of Indian entrepreneurs in the capital.
Last week, Indian companies were allocated space for the construction of the hospital, university, water park and several other facilities. Moreover, the total project cost exceeds US$1 billion.
The parties expressed readiness for further development of comprehensive cooperation. The partnership will cover projects in areas such as the organization of IT parks, education, healthcare, tourism and others.
The Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Santosh Jha said that representatives of large companies from the states of Gujarat and Haryana, as well as the delegation of the Indian Federation of Industrial Enterprises and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India will take part in the upcoming Tashkent International Investment Forum.
He also put forward a number of proposals to increase the flow of Indian tourists to Uzbekistan.
