Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An International math contest “Kangaroo” started in Uzbekistan. Registration is open on the site www.olympia.uz and will last until 28 February 2019.
Schoolchildren of 2-11 grades can take part in it. Participants are distributed by age group - 2nd class, 3-4 classes, 5-6 classes, 7-8 classes and 9-11 classes. They have to solve tests, divided into three levels of difficulty from easy, comic to quite complex.
This is not a traditional Olympiad, which requires in-depth knowledge of mathematics from the participants. This is a kind of "first attempt at writing." The task of "Kangaroo" - instill confidence in their abilities in every child, even if someone does not like this subject. It is no coincidence that the theme of this fun competition is “Mathematics for all”.
The experience of last year shows that the competition, which was held in Uzbekistan in 2018 for the first time, aroused great interest among schoolchildren. About 1000 boys and girls became its participants. In the world on the same day, about 6 million of their peers performed the same tasks with them.
Each of the participants received certificates and souvenirs. The guys who scored the most points were awarded diplomas.
This year’s competition will be held on 25 March. The organizer of the competition is the official representative of the association "Kangaroo without Borders" (AKSF) LLC Olympia.
