Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov arrived on a visit to Hungary, Dunyo news agency reported.

The representative delegation includes the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan, leading business structures.

The program of the visit envisages holding Uzbek-Hungarian negotiations in Budapest at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs, other ministries and departments of Hungary.

Tomorrow, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyarto, the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and a business forum will be held with the participation of representatives of the business circles of the two countries.

On 16 July 2020, within the framework of the stay in Tashkent of the Hungarian government delegation under the leadership of the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs Peter Siyarto, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan discussed the practical aspects of joint work on the implementation of the "Road Map" to bring bilateral trade to US$100 million.

An agreement on this was reached following a meeting of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Hungary at the meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) in October 2019.
