A Gas-Air Mixture Explosion Occurred in Andijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A gas-air mixture explosion occurred late in the evening of 11 February 2026, at 23:55 in a multi-storey residential building located in the Nodirabegim mahalla of Andijan, the Andijan regional administration stated.

The regional hokim, Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov, arrived at the scene and took the situation under his personal supervision. According to preliminary information, the explosion did not result in a fire, and neighboring apartments were not damaged.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the incident.
