Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– A delegation of Uzbekistan visited the districts of Turkestan region of Kazakhstan, affected by the flood caused by the breakthrough of the dam of the Sardoba reservoir.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Uzbekistan, the delegation was headed by Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Tursinkhan Khudaibergenov.

During the visit, Uzbekistan was introduced to the flood consequences and the identification of the necessary measures to eliminate them.

Uzbekistan also sent 209 specialists of the Ministry of Emergencies and 169 units of agricultural, engineering and fire-rescue equipment to Kazakhstan.

On 1 May at 05:55 on the 6-picket wall of the dam of the Sardoba reservoir in Syrdarya region there was an outflow of water. As a result, there was flooding of settlements in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
