Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Chairman of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan Mukhor Umarov held a meeting with Executive Director of Consumtion Union Ten Lim, Dunyo news agency reported.

Consumtion Union is developing special electronic platforms for the development of electronic commerce in the countries of Southeast Asia. The company also develops online banking software.

During the negotiations, organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, issues of further development of bilateral mutually beneficial trade and economic development were discussed, including by expanding the range and increasing the volume of exports of Uzbek products to the Malaysian market.

The parties also considered the introduction of electronic trading floors of the Consumtion Union company in the republic, which will allow domestic exporters to sell their products to end users in Southeast Asia, thereby ensuring export growth in this region.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to organize a business mission of potential Malaysian importers to Uzbekistan to study the possibility of concluding export contracts for the supply of fruits and vegetables to Malaysia.
