Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - From 5 to 7 April 2021, a working visit of an official delegation, representatives of business and educational institutions of the Udmurt Republic of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Khomich, will take place, the press service of the CCI reports.

Uzbekistan is one of 10 countries-importers of products from Udmurtia. The region successfully exports to Uzbekistan transport, engineering products, equipment and apparatus, products of the chemical industry, timber industry and metallurgy. In 2020, industrial enterprises of the region made deliveries worth US$20 million.

About 11 companies from the region will participate in the visit.

The visit program includes a series of business events:

- Visit to the International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM: Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan" with a collective stand "Made in Udmurtia";

- Round table “Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the field of industry and educational services. Opportunities for intercountry cooperation ”with the participation of the khokims of Tashkent and the Tashkent region, representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Economy Assembly of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent;

- Exchange of contacts for business representatives from the Russian and Uzbek sides;

- Business meetings with rectors of universities and directors of schools in Udmurtia and Uzbekistan;

- Visiting TEXNOPARK LLC and other industrial enterprises in Tashkent.

Following the visit, it is planned to sign agreements on cooperation between the Government of Udmurtia, the Assembly of the Economy of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent. This visit may become a point of further development of bilateral trade and economic relations between Udmurtia and Uzbekistan.
