Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 55-year-old resident of Yunusabad district of Tashkent was diagnosed with COVID-19 on 5 July, after he was hospitalized in City Clinical Hospital No. 1.

At the hospital, he was diagnosed with severe COVID-19 infection and bilateral pneumonia. The disease was accompanied by such complications as acute respiratory failure, acute cardiovascular failure, and intoxication of the central nervous system.

The patient also had comorbidities such as grade 3 hypertension and arterial hypertension. The patient underwent online consultations and specialist consultations, the treatment process was carried out in accordance with the established standards.

In recent days, the patient’s condition worsened due to complications of the disease against the background of concomitant diseases, and, despite the resuscitation procedures performed by doctors, he died from acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure.
