UzRCE: transactions worth US$731.10 million recorded

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the period from 20 to 24 February 2023, transactions worth US$731.10 million were concluded on the foreign exchange spot market, the press service of Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange (UzRCE) reports.

Following the results of trading on 24 February 2023, the weighted average exchange rate of the US dollar to the Uzbek soum was set at 11,350.00 soums.

The change relative to the beginning of the week amounted to 0.26%.

Money market

Deals worth 7.89 trillion soyums were concluded in the interbank money market following the results of the week.

Most of the transactions were concluded with a period of placement/attraction of 1 day.

The yield on placed deposits was in the range of 14% - 19% per annum.

Also, at the last deposit auction of the Central Bank, the amount of transactions amounted to 2.27 trillion soums.

Debt market

According to the results of primary auctions for the placement of bonds of the Ministry of Finance, held in the reporting period, 1.09 million bonds worth 1.03 trillion soums were placed.

In the secondary market, for the same period of time, transactions were concluded with government securities in the amount of 0.07 trillion soums.
