Uzbekistan-Latvia: implementation of investment projects in the field of water supply and sewerage in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 September this year, the opening ceremony of a training course on the project "Capacity Building in the Implementation of Investment Projects in the Field of Water Supply and Sewerage in Uzbekistan" was held.
The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia within the framework of the grant project “Supporting cooperation projects in the beneficiary countries designated by the Republic of Latvia” for the development of partnerships in Central Asia.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with the CLEANTECH LATVIA representative office in Uzbekistan. The training course will run from 21 to 24 September 2021.
The official opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the Republic of Uzbekistan Reinis Troksha, Executive Director of CLEANTECH LATVIA Evija Pudane, management and specialists of Uzsuvtaminot JSC, representatives of the project office and regional water supply companies of the Company.
The delegation within the framework of the training program included experienced Latvian specialists in this area.
For a more detailed explanation of the planned topics for the employees of JSC "Uzsuvtaminot" participating in the course, a special program of seminars was developed within the framework of the project. A large block is devoted to the feasibility study of the project.
The seminars will also talk about procurement management, contract control and touch on the "red" and "yellow" books of FIDIC. Additionally, they will discuss how to correctly calculate tariffs for the population and maintain financial reporting on projects.
At the end of the training course, certificates of professional development and participation in an international program will be awarded.
