Zero tariffs on some goods extended until the end of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 December 2024, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan signed a decree titled "On Further Measures to Ensure Equal Conditions for Entrepreneurs and a Fair Constructive Environment."

The decree includes several measures proposed during the President's meeting with entrepreneurs on December 20, 2024.

Notably, it stipulates that VAT and corporate income tax rates will remain unchanged until 2028.

Additionally, the zero customs duties on 36 categories of goods, including food products and other items introduced in March 2023, have been extended until 1 January 2026.

The decree applies to the following goods:

• Pork, other meats, pork fat, and poultry fat
• Canned meat and other products
• Canned fish and caviar
• Kefir, yogurt, buttermilk, condensed milk (with or without additives)
• Cheeses and curds
• Eggs without shells, egg yolks
• Onions, garlic, leek, and other bulb vegetables
• Lettuce, chicory
• Legumes
• Canned vegetables
• Fruits (dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, garcinia, guava, mangoes, apples, pears, quinces) and nuts
• Jams, marmalades, fruit purees, and canned fruits
• Flour (excluding wheat and wheat-rye)
• Potato flakes
• Cereal grains
• Bread, bakery products, and pasta
• Coconut and palm kernel oil
• Starch, inulin
• Chocolate, confectionery, molasses
• Jams, marmalades, fruit and nut purees (pastas)
• Sauces and seasonings
• Ready-made soups and broths
• Bottled water and beverages
• Hair care products
• Deodorants, shaving products, perfumes
• Children's clothing
• Footwear with insoles up to 24 cm

It is worth recalling that in May 2022, the President's decree exempted 22 types of food products from customs duties.
