Yangikhayot district was formed in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held. At it, the deputies considered the issue of forming Yangikhayot district within the city of Tashkent, as well as changing the boundaries of the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region.

This issue, introduced in accordance with the instruction given by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Sergeli district of the city of Tashkent on 29 May 2020, envisages the creation of social amenities for the population, taking into account the introduction of unified management in this region.

According to the changes, 2,131.2 hectares of land from the city of Tashkent, including 1,864.2 hectares - Sergeli, 267.0 hectares - Bektemir districts, as well as 2,288.4 hectares from Tashkent region, including 492.0 hectares - Zangiota, 128.7 hectares - Kuyichirchik, 264.4 hectares - Yangiyul, as well as 1403.3 hectares - Urtachirchik districts will be transferred to Yangikhayot district.

Also, the elected people's deputies of the Sergeli, Bektemir, Zangiota, Urtachirchik district Kengashes from the constituencies of the Sergeli district of the city of Tashkent (9-Uzar, 11-Khabibi, 18-Faizli, 19-Obikhayot, 21-Ittifok, 22-Navkiron, 23-Sofdil, 24 -Lutfikor, 25-Kurgantepa), Bektemir district (25-Binokor, 26-Sholikor, 27-Sangzor), Zangiotinsky district of Tashkent region (21-Uzgarish, 22-Honobod), Urtachirchik district (1-Kumovul, 2-Kumovul) are deputies of the Yangikhayot district Kengash.

As the deputies emphasize, these changes will contribute to the further development of the region.
