Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yandex Go launched today in Qoqand. This is the eighth city in Uzbekistan where users can call a car in a few clicks. To do this, they just need to download the application and indicate the destination in it. The service itself will find the driver who will arrive the fastest.
“We are actively developing Yandex Go in Uzbekistan and strive to make travel in each city more convenient. The launch of Qoqand has become special for us - now the service works in all major cities of the Ferghana Valley. Residents of the region no longer need to call taxi services or hail a car on the streets. Immediately after ordering a car, the application shows all the necessary information, such as the car model and the driver's arrival time. We also have a support service that can be quickly contacted in the application,” says Yandex Go Executive Director for Central Asian Market Development Tamirlan Shapiev.
In Qoqand, the exact price of a trip is known to users immediately at the time of ordering a car - just enter the destination address in the application. Even if the driver has to deviate from the route due to road repairs, the price will not change. You can pay for the trip in cash.
Yandex Go uses its own technologies: maps, routing, navigation, and a smart order distribution system. It is technologies that make it possible to make trips more accessible to users and at the same time provide drivers with a decent income.
Yandex Go was launched in Uzbekistan in April 2018. In addition to Qoqand, the service also operates in Tashkent, Ferghana, Margilan, Namangan, Andijan, Samarkand and Bukhara. Yandex Go does not have its own drivers and cars. The service cooperates with local carriers. The free app is available for iOS and Android in Uzbek, Russian and many other languages.
