Xsolla Expands Presence in Azerbaijan, Launches Gaming R&D Hub
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Global gaming giant Xsolla is strengthening its presence in Azerbaijan, transforming the country into a regional hub for gaming technologies, digital innovation, and exports.
The company’s collaboration with the Innovation Agency IDDA, which began in December 2024, has already yielded tangible results.
Under the leadership of Regional Managing Director Fuad Karimov, a local office was opened in Baku, and Xsolla obtained residency in the Technopark.
The company has organized mentors, workshops, and studio support for the Xsolla–IDDA Incubation Program, attracting talented developers and fostering the growth of local teams.
Launched in May 2025, the program became the first international gaming incubation initiative in Azerbaijan. Ten local teams completed a three-month training under global mentors and presented their projects on Demo Day, with the best projects receiving cash prizes from IDDA to continue game development.
Looking ahead, Xsolla and IDDA plan to expand cooperation through Xsolla Academy, accelerator programs, and new waves of incubation, creating a pipeline of talent and connecting Azerbaijani developers to global markets.
Azerbaijan has also become home to Xsolla’s third global research and development center, which will evolve into a regional R&D hub, strengthening the country’s leadership in gaming innovation across the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Government support and the involvement of major international players open new opportunities in education, employment, and content creation inspired by Azerbaijani culture and history.
