The solution of the tasks in the field of employment necessitates the creation of an effective system for training highly qualified blue-collar workers, taking into account the needs of the labor market, including for large enterprises and clusters created locally.
In order to meet the needs of the labor market for qualified personnel, integrate vocational training with industrial practice, introduce an international system for assessing professional competencies in May 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 394 "On measures to improve the system of vocational training of qualified personnel in demand in the labor market".
Along with the creation of the National System for the Development of Professional Qualifications and Competencies, this decision also provides for the introduction of international WorldSkills standards into the system of vocational training and qualifications assessment in Uzbekistan and the holding of national and regional championships of blue-collar professions according to WorldSkills standards.
As the Deputy Director for International Affairs of the Union "Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)" Alexei Skornyakov noted: “One of the most difficult tasks at this stage of the formation of the WorldSkills movement in Uzbekistan is to mobilize the necessary resources and potential to create an Expert Community, i.e. “Assemble and start the engine” within each competence, profession, so that new people are recruited, trained and certified. For the Expert community to develop itself organically within itself. I really hope that this goal will be achieved in Uzbekistan very soon”.
