Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- One of the important components of insurance medicine, which is planned to be introduced in Uzbekistan, is the availability of modern clinical protocols, which every doctor must follow. This issue became one of the main ones during the meeting of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of Uzbekistan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
As the Chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov noted, this state structure, together with the Ministry of Health, is working on the development of Clinical Protocols that meet modern international requirements. Clinical protocols, upcoming licensing of doctors and other components will form the basis of insurance medicine. Experienced international experts could provide effective assistance in carrying out such a large-scale work.
In turn, the head of the GIZ Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Jörg Pudelka, noted that the German Society for International Cooperation is interested in supporting projects that are aimed at the further development of the country, including by providing experts.
Given that most of the payment for the stay and work in Uzbekistan of such experts is borne by the German Society for International Cooperation, it is necessary to prove the importance of such grant support. Having become the owner of such a grant, the National Chamber plans to intensify work on the development of clinical protocols, which is being implemented on the basis of a joint decree signed in December 2019 by the leaders of this state structure and the Ministry of Health. And the speedy development and adoption of modern clinical protocols will make it possible to raise the medical care of Uzbek people to a qualitatively new level.
This approach was fully understood by the GIZ representatives. Moreover, among the projects implemented by GIZ in Uzbekistan, there is one aimed precisely at changing the existing methods, educational programs in the health sector. In particular, according to Aliya Jalmagambetova, an employee of the GIZ project "Management of advanced medical technologies in Uzbekistan", such work is being carried out in the direction of minimal invasive procedures used in pediatric surgery, gynecology, urology and other areas.
During online negotiations held on 1 February 2021, the parties reached an agreement on the preparation of the necessary documents to attract international experts to implement plans to develop modern clinical protocols for healthcare in Uzbekistan.
Also, the National Chamber and GIZ will continue to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation in order to improve medical services for the country’s population, introducing modern medical innovations into it based on the best international experience.
