World Bank delegation pays visit to IUT

The delegation included other specialists from WB, who arrived in Uzbekistan to conduct consultations with Uzbekistan government and business offices in the frame of project on “Expanding jobs and improving skills in context of modern economy”.

At the meeting, IUT administration and the World Bank delegation discussed various issues, including trainings of specialists at the university and their further employment after the graduation.

IUT Rector Sherzod Shermatov presented to WB delegation activities of the university on training of IT specialists, its facilities and infrastructure, as well as syllabus. He provided information on initiatives of IUT on improving knowledge of youth in various fields, including coding.

Rector also shared with the guests about the plans of IUT on further expanding the university infrastructure and improving quality of education.

At the meeting, the World Bank delegation received answers to their questions related to higher education system of Uzbekistan, academic process at IUT and future employment of the graduates.
